Lanier National Speedway
For Immediate Release:

In response to the numerous suggestions presented to the staff at Lanier National Speedway and as part of the speedways ongoing effort to provide equal and fair competition the following adjustments will be immediately implemented.

Late Models-
Weights:
2650 lbs. - GM 604 Crate run as delivered  from GM. 
2725 lbs. - GM 604 that has been remanned or freshened.
2800 lbs. -
(1) GM 604 (GAS Legal) w/ 1.6            Rockers, Beehive Springs,                                   Small balance, and shallow oil                             pain.
(2) Ford (Blue Oval)
(3) Ford (Magunagill)
(4) Built motors w/open booster                              350 carb.

Claimer Rule: 
All motors subject to claim at the current market price plus $500 and additional $100 pull fee.
    - No claim on transmission -

Shocks:
Adjustable shock and/or bump stops permitted with no weight penalty.
  
Starters:
Any starter permitted.

Tires:
Tires will be inspected at race end and checked with a durometer.  ANY tire check 49 or less with track durometer will be confiscated with the wheel and car DQ.

Trucks-

Sway Bar:
Sway bar must be OEM appearing and may be solid or hollow with a maximum diameter of 1.125".

Motors:
GM 602 or LNS Sealed motors, chevy 305, Ford or Chrysler motors to 2007 LNS rules permitted.

(ALL ENGINES MUST RUN 6,000 CHIP)

Starter:
Any starter permitted.

Open Wheel Modifieds:

Engine Placement:
As per IMCA rules engine may be offset to the left side up to 2 inches.

Wheels:
Any offset permitted.


The aforementioned adjustments to the rules is our effort to insure that anyone who wants to race will be afforded every opportunity.  Also, any of these adjustments are subject to review at all times to ensure fair and equal competition.
